Lending a hand...
One of the most influential persons in Ben's high school experience was his track coach, Coach Mingo. He is a huge reason Ben is running in college.
But, track probably played a small role in the influence that Coach Mingo had on Ben. He taught him the value of a strong work ethic. He taught him to try harder. He taught him the value of friendship and standing up for what is right.
We have recently learned that Coach Mingo is battling Chronic Thrumboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension.
He will be traveling to California on Christmas Day for surgery and will remain there for at least 3 weeks.
A fundraiser is scheduled for this Saturday at Le Peeps restaurants located at 559 N. 155th Plaza and 2012 N. 117th Ave.
in Omaha from 6:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 30% will go directly to the Mingo Family.
Along with this event, I am collecting monetary donations at The Garden Gallery that will go directly to the Mingo's to help defray medical, travel, and personal expenses.
Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
If you are unable to attend on Saturday or can't make it to The Garden Gallery....you can send checks directly to me:
